Greetings fellow bicycle enthusiast,
I wanted to inquire about your vintage Sears bike. I picked up a Sears ESGE from a local flea market. It needs some serious tlc though (Yours by the way is a beauty).
I plan on restoring this gem and I am having trouble finding any info concerning age. It has a Sears name plate stamped with 'Made in Austria', and I found the serial numbers (2 sets) on the bottom. One has 6 digits and the other has 8 digits starting with 503.##.###.
Anything information you have (including the restoration process) would be greatly appreciated!!
I accept the automobile as a mode of transportation although it should be used sparingly. My goal is to use a "Less-Car lifestyle."
With kids, a job and a no-so-liveable community it can be difficult to follow a One-Less-Car lifestyle. But my goal is to live my life with as little use of my car as possible - a Less-Car Lifestyle.
I am keeping track of how much I ride my bike to not only curb my own unsustainable lifestyle, but to show others that they can have a much more fulfilling life by choosing alternatives.
