I went out with the intention of keeping the avg speed nice ad easy. It was difficult with the wind at my back, but on the way home up the Greenway the wind was blowing (according to www.wunderground.com) at a nice 20-30MPH in my face, so it slowed the avg speed down. I was feeling tired and sluggish due to poor sleep and too little sleep. I love crossing the brdges over the river though.
Although it was a short ride and the same old, same old, it was an awesome ride. I don't know if it was the two good beers before I left or the fact that my legs just felt strong as hell. Either way it was great!!
Installed Origin8 stem adapter from threaded to threadless so that I could change stem whenever I want...its great and works well...so I shortened the stem a bit and rose it to close to the same height as my seat...nice comfy ride.
Sometimes Kian will go over to the shed and bang on the shed door trying to tell me he wants to go for a Burley ride. It was nice riding with Thatcher and pulling Kian the other evening. We cruised down the Greenway and around Bass Lake. It was slow and Thatcher talked to whole time - something we don't get much time to do. Today I weighted down the Burley with Kian, 3 bags of groceries, 3 bottles of wine and a gallon of milk. It rode pretty stiff, but held up well. I decided today that I want an ExtraCycle....
